Having sailed over 200,000 miles offshore, including a circumnavigation of the Earth, the owner sought a tropical Caribbean retreat in a stable, friendly country with regular non-stop air connections to the outside world. Completed in late 1997, this island getaway property was developed with one goal in mind: to create the most 
spectacular home on the north coast island resort of Hispaniola, Dominican Republic. Over 200 skilled artisan craftsmen shared in the process and the result, both in terms of exotic materials and fabulous beach location, is nothing short of magnificent.
