Activities and Nightlife
In the immediate surrounding area, windsurfers and kite boarders
will be challenged by Cabarete's gusty bay and top-notch surf-in,
surf-out sailing operations. Equally unbeatable are the local surf
beaches, particularly Encuentro, near Sea Horse Ranch. Cabarete
offers exciting excursions for bikers, cascaders and outdoor
enthusiasts. These Dominican Republic resort towns offer hopping
night life and will get anyone to sashay down the beach to the beat
of live music and enjoy the best cuisine in the Caribbean (sushi,
Tuscan, Moroccan, Spanish, Provencal).
Nearby Sosúa maintains its polyglot and heterogeneous spirit with
Swiss bakeries, Italian trattorias and German sausage makers.
Dominican Hospitality
Venture into the Victorian seaside town of Puerto Plata - a
lovely Dominican Republic resort town - where you can roam the
streets stopping by small bakeries to savor typical local delights
like "pan de agua" (water based bread) and a delicious "café con
leche" (hot coffee and cream) at a soda shop with friendly smiles
and Dominican hospitality. Take a ride in a cable car up the
presiding Mount Isabela, visible from the town of Puerto Plata.

Cabarete...
a little slice of Heaven for your holiday |
|
|
 |
Located on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic,
Cabarete is this perfect little Dominican Republic
resort beach town with the world's best windsurfing,
kiteboarding and surfing. There aren't many tourists, no
big hotels and nothing is built above the palm tree line
to spoil the view. You will find cute little shops,
restaurants and plenty of friendly Dominicans. |

Fiestas - Nightlife |
Cabarete beach turns into a hip international travelers'
fiesta every night. Imagine being at the same cafes and
bars you were at all day - but with only stars and
moonlight on the ocean.
After a siesta, get ready for the evening fiesta with your
fellow travelers to share the day's adventures over a
drink. Dominican Republic raw sugar produces smooth rum,
Brugal, and the tobacco makes great cigars.
|
 |
|
The Ron Chinolas (rum & passion fruit
juice), cuba libres and cervezas
are always flowing at Ono's Bar, Café
Pitu and the newest spot on the beach, Lax.
You sit at Lax on hammock swings with tiki
torches, just steps from the crashing waves!
Each night at this Dominican Republic resort town, a
different beach bar hosts a party into the wee
hours... Good thing you don't have to be up early! |
Comidas - Meals
|
|
Some special dinners
are included with
your Dominican Republic villa vacation
trip. We know locals who
have out-of-the-way restaurants
where we will go fill
up on gigantic fresh
camarones (shrimp) in garlic. Delicious!
One night we'll go to a little
spot in the
mountains and eat
under the stars with
food served on banana leaves.
For other meals,
you can enjoy a
fresh dinner at one of the
inexpensive open air restaurants (less than $15usd)
on the beach. Or prepare a meal in
your apartment kitchen with the fresh avocados,
pineapple and other Dominican delights. People
live simply here which is simply perfect for a
vacation getaway. Ahh, life in the islands... |
